Let Your Phone Activity Be Your Guide

By Tana M. Mann Easton, Lead Efficiency Engineer

Do you have goals for this year but no idea how to fit one more habit into your life?  A simple place to start the search for more time is in your phone activity details.

I have an Android phone, and I can see my screentime in the Digital Wellbeing area in my phone settings.  My screentime is broken down by the different apps that I use each day.  When I look at my screentime, there are definitely social media and game applications that receive more of my attention on some days than I notice or prefer.  All that time can instead be pivoted toward any of the goals or habits that I would rather have in my life.

Are there any surprises when you look at your own screentime?  Can you set limiting timers on any applications that aren’t worth your time and be more intentional of filling that space with the substance of your goals instead?  Let your phone activity be your guide to time that can be better served with the habits you actually want in your life.
